Skyviewor Data Service Agreement
This agreement governs your access to Skyviewor Data’s API services. It is written for the initial international launch and should be reviewed with qualified counsel before production publication.
1. Service
Skyviewor Data provides a developer API for international METAR and surface weather observations. The available airport catalog is limited to the international coverage that can be obtained through approved NOAA/AWC-compatible channels. China-local-only airports and other restricted data are not included.
2. Accounts and API keys
You must provide accurate account information and keep your credentials secure. Each application is associated with an API key. You are responsible for activity made with your keys, must not share keys publicly, and must notify us promptly if a key is exposed. We may suspend or revoke a key when we detect abuse, fraud, a security risk, or an expired entitlement.
3. Limits and fair use
Unless your order states otherwise, each key is limited to 2 requests per second, 3 concurrent WebSocket connections, and 100 deduplicated airports across all WebSocket subscriptions. Create another Application and purchase another entitlement when you need a separate 100-airport allocation. Attempts to bypass limits or interfere with the service are prohibited.
4. Orders, access and renewals
Prices, currency, taxes and billing frequency are shown at checkout. Paddle is the Merchant of Record for eligible transactions and processes payment, tax and billing administration. One-time access begins after verified payment and remains available for the purchased period. Recurring access renews according to the selected Paddle subscription until canceled. Launch pricing is available now and ends on January 20, 2027 at 00:00 UTC. A recurring subscription paid during the offer retains its launch base rate for the same product and billing period while the contract continues. A scheduled cancellation does not end access early; withdrawing it before it takes effect preserves the rate. Once cancellation takes effect, a new purchase uses the price then available. A temporary payment failure does not immediately forfeit the launch rate; access may be suspended after a three-day payment grace period. Pausing and billing-period changes are not offered in the initial release. Currency and taxes are confirmed at checkout. A browser redirect is not proof of entitlement; verified payment events control provisioning.
5. Acceptable use
You may use the API to build lawful applications. You may not use it to attack or probe infrastructure, evade access controls, resell raw credentials, misrepresent the source or accuracy of observations, or use the service in safety-critical aviation decisions without independent validation and appropriate operational controls.
6. Availability and data quality
We aim to provide timely data, but observations can be delayed, incomplete, corrected, or unavailable. Skyviewor Data is not an aviation safety service, dispatch authorization, or substitute for official notices. We may perform maintenance, change upstream sources, or update the airport catalog.
7. Intellectual property
We retain rights in the service, software, documentation and branding. You retain rights in your application and content. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service while your entitlement is active.
8. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach, non-payment, legal requirement, security concerns, or abuse. Provisions concerning payment, confidentiality, intellectual property, disclaimers and liability survive termination.
9. Disclaimers and liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided on an “as available” basis and without warranties beyond those that cannot legally be excluded. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Skyviewor Data will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses. Any liability cap and governing law should be finalized by the operating legal entity before launch.
10. Changes and contact
We may update this agreement when the service or law changes. We will publish the new version here and update the date above. Questions about this agreement can be sent to legal@skyviewor.com.
